Mark Foster
Politcal Engagement Manager

Housing First Minnesota is one of the largest homebuilders associations in the country. Across the country, housing availability and affordability has become a kitchen-table issue. And Minnesota’s housing market faces unique challenges with the country’s worst inventory, the largest price gap between new and existing homes, the costliest housing regulatory structure in the Midwest, and dropping from #1 in homeownership to the middle of the pack. If we don’t address the issues facing today’s homebuyers, the legacy of homeownership is at risk for the next generation. Foster will discuss the obstacles Minnesota faces and how local and state leaders can work with the industry to create a housing market that works for more Minnesotans.

Originally from Iowa, Mark and his wife, Bonnie, live in the White Bear Lake area, along with their corgi, Minnie. When he’s not busy advocating for housing and homeownership at the Minnesota State Capitol, he spends time training for his next marathon race.
