President David Kray, District Governor Paul Perez
Jan Vanderwall introduced Paul Perez, Rotary District 5960 Governor.
Paul keyed his presentation on the new vision statement adopted by Rotary International. That, “Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”
From this vision the District has identified four areas of focus for the current term;
  1. To help clubs thrive by retaining current members and attracting new ones.
  2. Involving families along with members so that they understand and support their Rotarian’s commitment to the core values of Rotary: fellowship, integrity, diversity, leadership and service.
  3. Building pathways to District leadership by identifying and engaging prospects and encouraging training and development.
  4. Strengthening partnerships by connecting Clubs and members with the broader Rotary world.
There are more than a million Rotarians who in collaboration are an impressive force for good. And when we work to create lasting change, we not only are helping change lives in other places, we’re helping ourselves to become better people.
