"Why Electricity Prices in MN Keep Skyrocketing"

Minnesota used to have some of the most affordable electricity in the entire country, but now Minnesota families pay more than the national average for their electricity and prices keep rising. Learn why Minnesota electric bills have reached new all-time highs and why this has negative implications for families, schools, hospitals, and businesses.

Isaac Orr is a Policy Fellow at Center of the American Experiment, where he writes about energy and environmental issues, including mining and electricity policy.  He has written extensively on hydraulic fracturing, frac sand mining and electricity policy, among other energy and environmental issues. His writings have appeared in The Wall Street Journal,USA Today, the New York Post, The Hill, Orange County Register, The Washington Times, and many other publications.

Patrick “Packy” Mader has a background in education, business, and agriculture, with a professional career as an elementary teacher and is the author of six books.  He grew up on a dairy farm near St. Bonifacius, Minnesota, and has been a lifelong fan of sports at all levels leading to the creation of two 400-page nonfiction books, Minnesota Gold and More Minnesota Gold.   The new book includes Minnesota's only 5-time Olympian, world record holders in running and swimming, and how these remarkable athletes "give back" to their sport, school, and community.  He and his wife, Karen, live in Northfield, and are the parents of two children.
